Day 10 – Voie Bleue

If one would have asked me after 5k how many km we could do today, I would have said 20. But after two Croissants, Pain au Chocolat, one Gatorate and half a liter of Cola (for each) we felt much better. The Voie Bleue is a bike path mostly following the river Saone. We followed it most of the time, but whenever we saw on the map that it becomes a detour, we asked Google for the „easiest“ way. Sometimes Google chooses ways one hardly can walk (see the see pictures 😁) but going back was not option either, because the map showed the next street not far a way.The day before we decided to buy new wheels which was a good idea. We bought them at a Decathlon and had one flat just 10k before the shop. We replaced one wheel when we got to the shop and carried the others with us.Later, by 8pm a thunderstorm came up, we had to put on rain clothes, by 9pm my rear wheel exploded with a very loud boom , a piece of wood had damaged the wheel and the tube. Time for the 2nd replacement 🙄We arrived almost dry at the camping site by 10pm, set up the tent and went to bed totally tired…
