We were tired and started late, by 6pm we only made 100k. The channel we followed reached its top after 60k, this is where the spring of the river Marne is. The channel was going o to a tunnel and driving alongside the channel was not allowed anymore, so we had to climb a little hill which did cost time and energy we are still lacking. Anyway we did another 130k today and had another flat tire. Tomorrow we will look for a bike shop, to replace the tyre.The channel has been build in 1880, I find it very amazing that builders at that time where able to place such a „monument“ in to the landscape. Here and there they place a lock, to enable boats to climb or, as from from the top, to decent. We finally reached the end of the channel after another 130k today and will follow the river Saone tomorrow.
